INVESTOR WARNING—Sanders Spangler Barred By FINRA For Failing To Respond To Allegations That He Engaged In Alleged Unauthorized Trading

According to publicly available records released by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), on March 26, 2018, Sander Spangler was censured by FINRA for failing to respond to its request for information concerning customer allegations against Sanders Spangler for unauthorized trading. Sanders Spangler was indefinitely barred by FINRA from associating with any brokerage firm.
The FINRA investigation was the culmination of several notable reported events for Sanders Spangler. In February 2017, he was discharged by LPL for allegedly engaging in unauthorized trading. After his termination, five (5) customer complaints were filed against Sanders Spangler for, among other things, unauthorized trading, forger and unsuitability. Four of these matters were settled for $850,000, $225,000, $20,000 and $40,000.

Financial advisors have a legal and regulatory obligation to recommend only suitable investments that are appropriate for their clients’ needs and objectives.
