Cheryl George Sanctioned By FINRA For Sales Practice Violations
The Wolper Law Firm is currently investigating claims against Cheryl George, a former Financial Advisor at RBC Capital Markets, LLC. Cheryl George has been in the securities industry since 2002 and previously worked for Morgan Stanley and Citigroup
According to publicly available records released by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), on July 30, 2018, Cheryl George was sanctioned by FINRA for taking wire instructions from a non-account owner and selling securities within a customer’s account without authorization in order to make said wire transfer. In addition, Cheryl George mismarked trades as unsolicited when they were actually solicited transactions. These alleged acts of misconduct caused RBC to maintain inaccurate books and records.
In addition, in March 2018, Cheryl George was terminated by RBC for “Violation of firm policies including the Employee Alteration and Execution of Client Documents policy.” Altering client documents is a significant violation of firm and regulatory policy.
